Construction Information
Anticipated Timeline
Spring 2025 Beginning April 7, 2025, Journey Construction will be on site to begin the groundbreaking process. Expect fencing, construction signage, equipment, and workers to have a regular presence over the next 18-20 months. Construction will begin with the Worship Center & CPK/Kid Central addition.
Summer 2025 Gym renovation & lower FLC loop construction will begin. We plan to have these spaces done in the summer so we can be ready for the launch of Student Central (6th-12th grade) in the fall!
Winter 2025 - Spring 2026 CPK & Kid Central renovation will begin. At this time, we’ll be able to move into the completed CPK & Kid Central spaces.
Summer 2026 After Easter weekend in 2026, renovation will begin on the existing Worship Center. Regular weekend services will move to the Gym & Oakwood Chapel. Kid Central programming will remain available throughout this time. Construction is expected to be complete by August 2026.
What to expect during construction
We’ll do our best to keep the congregation informed of any major changes to expect during weekend services or ministry events. We’ll keep this page updated throughout the project as we get more information!
-
Parking
The North parking lot (closest to I229 near construction fences) will be closed to ensure the fire department has a clear route for emergencies. Please do not park in the grass and keep these areas clear.
-
Group Meeting Spaces
Groups will continue to meet throughout construction, but meeting location may move offsite. If you lead a group, or if you are in a group and curious about where you will meet, please contact your group leader or email us.

Kid Central Weekend Programming
We are working hard to have the fewest amount of disruptions to kids’ ministries. There may be weeks where your kids are asked to go to a different classroom. Rest assured, we will only have kids in approved and safety-cleared spaces.
Still have questions?
